This is an absolutely beautiful radio. It not only looks good it plays great too. This is the second version with Automatic Volume Control built and the single 47 output tube. This radio was meticulously taken apart and put together with âeoestate of the artâe electronic capacitors and resistors. All electrolyte capacitors are rated at 450 Volts and all other capacitors are rated at 630 volts. Each bakelite capacitor was melted out. New capacitors were inserted and a glue gun was used to fill the void. Each capacitor in the metal rectangular cans were replaced with new capacitors. Each resistor that was out of tolerance was replaced. The tuning gang bar and tuning mechanism was taken apart and cleaned. The tone control was melted out and three new capacitors were inserted. The volume pot was taken apart and cleaned. The speaker was re-coned by a reputable speaker repair shop. The radio was aligned according to specifications in the repair manual. The cabinet was restored with lacquer to look like the original when it was bought in 1931. It has nine tubes and measures 18-1/2"H x 17-1/2"W x 12"D.
