is a nice REAL PHOTO postcard showing the DEPOT AT PHILIP postmarked from PHILIP S.DAK. in 1908. A neat shot showing A CELEBRATION GOING ON---a large CROWD is visible----near the depot I can SEE AN INDIAN CHIEF WEARING A HEADDRESS OF EAGLE FEATHERS. In the background the GOLD MEDAL SALOON, HUFF'S HOTEL and another SALOON are visible. Philip is a very small town between Pierre and Wall.
