Own a piece of the ORIGINAL wooden sidewalk from Tombstone, Arizona. Measures 6 1/4"x 5 1/4"x 1 3/8". Brass medallion in upper right depecting the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral on Oct. 26, 1881 between the Earp's and the Clanton gang. Pen hole in lower left. Reverse reads, "'All you'll ever find is your tombstone!" Those words echoed in Ed Schieffelin's ears when he discovered the bonanza silver that led to the founding of the 'Town too tough to die'. In the 1880's it was a boom town, attracting investors, gamblers, politicians, miners and ranchers. When the mines died, the speculators left, but Tombstone remianed a busy little city and it was the County Seat until 1931. Today as you walk down the boardwalks, the town reflects the spirit of the Schieffelins, the Earps, the Clantons, Nellie Cashman and the pioneer families whose grit built the town. Tombstone is a historic treasure, best described in John Clums' first Tombstone Epitaph editorial- 'Tombstone is a city set upon a hill, promising to vie with ancient Rome, in fame, different in character, but no less in importance.'" This awesome piece is a prized item for any western or history collector
