This auction is for a Large Custom Made Wharncliff Style knife. It was made by myself, Phil (PJ) Ernest, in April, 2008. This is a brand new knife which has never been used. This Custom fixed blade knife is made of one solid bar of Al May Damascus Steel from end to end. The knife was heat colored to bring out the fabulous Damascus pattern (Wormwood) in the steel. The blade has been hardened and tempered to RC 58-60. Filework is included along the top of the blade. The bolsters are made of Damascus by Blue Springs Forge which were heat colored to bring out the intricate pattern of this extremely high quality material. The handle scales are made of Genuine, High Quality Mammoth Tooth from Russia. The cutting edge is 4 3/8 inches long. The total length of this knife is 9 1/2 inches long. This is a very solid, heavy knife. Included with this fine knife is a soft, zipper case. Some of my knives are offered for sale through more than one resource.
