THIS AUCTION IS FOR THREE (3) PORCELAIN DOLLS. The first lifelike, musical, handmade Panda Bear is an absolutely darling porcelain doll designed by Bette Ball, made by Goebel. They are sold as Betty Jane Carter Dolls by Goebel. The features are precious with beautiful brown eyes, adorable hands and feet paws with the pads detail. The 17" Panda is wearing a very cute outfit, in the Oriental style, of rust print cotton with orange trim. The tunic closes with snaps but is accented with 5 shiny brass buttons. It is wearing a 7 1/2" in diameter straw "coolie type" hat to be tied with the orange satin ribbons and worn slung back. The Maker's Mark, on the back of the neck reads LIMITED EDITION #185/500, 1994. There is, also, a tag, sewn inside on the cloth body, that reads: Betty Jane Carter Doll 1993 Goebel United States. The original inspection tag is inside the jacket along with a TO and FROM cloth tag. Included is a brass birdcage with a tiny white pottery bird inside. The music box (in the lower back of the doll) plays "I'm Just a Bird in a Gilded Cage". Also, included is a small wicker basket. There is no box and no papers that were in included with the purchase of the doll. The condition of this very cute doll is listed as used. It was well cared for by being lovingly displayed in a glassed case. The doll is in clean, nice condition. There is a very tiny chip speck on the back near the Maker's Mark. The second doll is named "Taki", named after an early childhood friend of Marie's. She is truly a collectible doll with original head, arms, and legs by sculptor Carole Bowling. She has been hand-crafter with special attention to detail. This gorgeous Oriental doll has lovely features with dark brown eyes and a sweet face. Her graceful hands hold a red paper fan. Taki is 18" tall with coal black hair arranged in an updo bun and thick bangs accented with red fabric flowers. She is dressed in a delicate satin brocade dress, trimmed in black with two frogs on the bodice and another frog on the back. She has a three-layered black lace slip and black pantaloons on. Also, black silky stockings. Her feet are shod in little matching red brocade slippers finished with braid detail. The Maker's Mark Hallmark reads: the signature of Marie Osmond, 2002, #515/2500. She is from the Children of the World Collection. There is no box or original papers included. The original price was $130. Her adjustable stand is included. This doll is in EXCELLENT, clean condition. She was displayed in a glassed in case for many years. The third little doll has dark brown eyes, two little bottom teeth showing in her smile and rosey tinted cheeks. She has porcelain head and limbs with stuffed body under her white cotton undergarment. Her dark black hair is topped with 2 small red satin bows to create little piggy tails. She is molded into a permanent seated position, ready to perch wherever she is placed. The full size counterpart doll was very popular in the Marie Osmond line on her QVC shows, so that Marie released this cute smaller version. The doll is signed and numbered on the back of her neck. it reads: Marie Osmond #929 c 1999. Her name is LILY and she is from the Tiny Tot collection. No box or other tags are included although their is an identifying label sewn inside of her jacket. The tag has Marie and her heart logo. There are no chips, cracks or mars. There is one miniscule dot on one rosy knee that looks to be original. She is wearing a pretty red Oriental floral patterned jacket, fully lined in black with three frog closures with little black cotton short pants, white crew socks and tiny black velvet shoes. All of her clothes are removable so she would be perfect for careful play of a child. She is precious! Darling, unique Asian Inspired porcelain dolls!!
