This stunning aqua blue milk glass vase features two mythical looking goat or ram's heads surrounded by exquisitely scrolled and stylized baroque patterns, a ruffled edge, and a teardrop embossed base. It strongly resembles Portieux or Vallerysthal glass but lacks their marks. It is marked on the bottom "Made in France" and there is a small circular raised stamp that looks like it was intended to be a maker's mark but slipped off before being stamped. Many Portieux or other French milk glass pieces date from the mid 1800's but we have no way of dating this vase, except to say that it appears to have some age. H= 8.5" - Dia.= 4
