THANK YOU ebay user: MRCOLLECTOR for your helpful info. Please read everything as I do not specialize in toy trains and will do my best to describe this rare item. This was found in an attic. Items are dusty and cannot be tested as I do not have a power box or whatever. The locomotive wires have been cut between the coal car that follows behind. The coal car is missing cover and is in very rough shape but all mechanics appear to be there. The loco itself is decent just dirty. I did notice the mount holes underneath that screw the engine in tight has been chipped up but you may still be able to get them to tighten down easy or simply build them back up with appoxy. I looked at the motor itself and all wire twine look to be soldered in place. The motor spines freely making the wheels turn over. It does have the date inside when you take out the motor and it is dated June 1952. It has a patent number of 2348616. The track you see pictured I believe is for a smaller scale train and may be newer. Here is the different pieces you get: all made by ATLAS, 18 TOTAL 18"R CURVES, 1 WITH POWER HOOKUPS, 11 TOTAL 9" STRAIGHT, 2 TOTAL 6" STRAIGHT, 2 TOTAL SWITCH RIGHT, 2 TOTAL 1/2 15" R CURVE, 6 TOTAL 1/3 18" R CURVE, AND 2 TOTAL END OF LINE STRAIGHTS. Next are older I believe trestle pieces: You get 5 piece train trestle (catalog no. 110 by lionel) read more
