Large Classic Pair of Vintage Hollywood Regency Mid Century Eames Era Rembrandt Brass Torchiere Lamps with Glass Diffusers Please scroll down for several large photos! That's right you are considering a lovely pair of authentic old world lamps from an era long gone. This spectacular pair of solid brass table lamps are one owners, estimated to be 50-60 years old, from the estate of a well to do couple who loved their old world possessions. They evidently liked to polish them too because these lamps are nice and bright and were kept that way throughout their lives. There is still, however, just enough natural patina to distinguish them from the highly lacquered cheaper lighter polished brass of today, as if the overall style and high quality construction were not enough. The finish is still highly reflective and very golden. Lamps are very heavy and of high quality craftsmanship. Both are working perfectly, including the rotary switches at the bases which will DIM or BRIGHTEN your standard wattage bulbs. Wiring looks original but excellent. Height of each lamp from base to diffuser is 35" tall. Diameter of base is 6 3/4". Unfortunately my photos can't do them their deserved justice...it seems like they were picking up the dark reflection of the dark wood piece of furniture they were sitting on. :( I also want to mention there were read more
