Pink-Red Quartzite Projectile Point (larger point). Beautiful shaped point. Size: 81.46 mm long x 28.04 mm across at the widest part x 10.64 mm thick. Beautiful formed point. The location for this point is is the Beaver Creek site (SW 1/4 of Sect 72 - Township 56 - Range Rd - 2M East and 1/4 mile North of Bruderheim, AB). This was collected by my dad sometime between 1968-1970 (during one of the summer months). From my dad's personal collection of pre-historic artifacts.My dad was a long-time (50 years) collector of native and fur trade items. He was a historian / archaeologist. All of these items are from his collection. Our items have been featured on the Canadian Antiques Roadshow and the prestigious auction house, Bonhams and Butterfields in San Francisco sold some of our native items.
