Presidents of the United States Large medal series boxes #106-109 Peace medals of John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren all designed by Moritz Furst , also including an Inaugural Medal for William H. Harrison designed by George T. Morgan. Large 3" (75mm) Bronze medals struck by the United States Mint. Peace medals were often given upon the signing of treaties, and the visits to the national capital by important Native American chiefs, as a symbol of peace and friendship to them, and their people Sealed in original vinyls in and tissue paper and white cardboard box numbered 106. Reverse of Peace medals- "PEACE AND FRIENDSHIP" symbol with two hands clasped in token of goodwill. Above the hands, the pipe of peace and the tomahawk are crossed over each other.
