Here we have a very nice Lionel #90 Flagpole with the original silk flag. The flag with base is 14 3/4 inches tall and the diameter is 4 1/4 inches. You can see a small hole in the flag in one of my photos; but it was made between 1927 - 1942. I am sure with being stored here and there, since I bought it. Nonetheless, I strongly feel it would grade a 6+; and the Greenberg's price guide prices rates these only in good and excellent. The prices are 35 to 95; but how often do you see them come up with the original silk flag and cord/string. Condition..Condition, I could say that it is near as excellent as they come. But, the pole is gluged into base; and I don't know how long it has been that way. It was that way when I bought it and the gentleman said the same thing at the estate where I picked it up. I currently have this on display and it has been there for some time; and I do not smoke!!! Now for the fun stuff. I am not perfect, and ask those that have the expertise to assure that I am not giving the public the wrong information. I do not mind when someone lets me know I am wrong.
