Offered for sale is this metal wind-up toy of a horse-drawn wagon with driver. It measures 7 inches long x 2-1/2 inches wide x 4-1/4 inches high to the top of the driver's head. The colors of the paint remain bright and clear, and there is very minor scratching. While we are not experts in mechanical toys, given the age of the owners of the estate from which this came, we believe this dates from the first half of the 20th century. The key is very tightly wound, and we have not attempted to wind it more tightly. The horses move up and down, and the driver moves back and forth in his seat. The original red cord reins are present and correct.The last photo shows the bottom of the wagon, but we can find no maker's marks anywhere on the piece. Overall, this is a most attractive older toy that will make a nice addition to your collection or display. We securely wrap and double-box all fragile items for shipping.
