This auction is for an antique Writer's Box. I purchased this box several years ago and was told it is from the 1800s. I don't know this for a fact, however. It has Mother of Pearl inlaid. Notice how it unfolds into a desk top shape when opened. I have provided photos of the chips and cracks from the years of wear and use. These areas are located on the back side of the box. This box is in good condition beyond these few visible wears. The trays are in great shape. They fit neatly within their frames and can be removed with ease. The design of the box is that of simplicity and tastefulness. The inlaid Mother of Pearl exhibits elegance in it's refined, graceful style. The box measures 11.75" x 9" x 6.25".

I have always found this box to be unique and have it's own measure of class. If you have any questions, please ask. Thank you for viewing this auction and good luck.
