Hello and welcome....... This listing is for a sweet primitive quilt star make-do! This make-do would look wonderful displayed in an old cupboard or sitting on an old dresser or nightstand. I made the star out of an old vintage quilt and it is backed with a star print muslin. The quilt has some wonderful hand quilting lines. The star measures about 11" across and has been stuffed very firmly. I securely attached the star to a wood candlestick. The candlestick is painted black crackled over antique white. I created a pocket on the front of the star out of a vintage handkerchief. The handkerchief has nice blue stitching detail around the edges. I embroidered the word "wishes" on the front of the pocket. When all of the sewing was completed on the star, I sponged it with a coffee/vanilla mixture and rubbed it with ground cinnamon and cloves. It has dried to a perfectly prim appearance. I have tucked inside of the pocket, a vintage Christmas postcard, sprigs of Sweet Annie and faux cranberry colored berry stems....one of the stems has a small pine cone attached. On the front of the postcard is a picture of a little girl sitting in front of a Christmas tree and it has a handwritten message on the back to someone in San Francisco. Even though this make-do has a Christmas postcard inside of the pocket, it could really be displayed all
