Old Wooden Box You are bidding on an old primitive handcrafted Wooden Box , which measures approximately 11" x 7.25" x 4.25" and was painted red and very primitively constructed of solid heavy dark wood, with a slightly domed top and an unusual bottom on the inside which looks like it may have replaced the original bottom & was crafted by someone with (very!) limited woodworking skills. The unusual bottom was nailed into place at the sides. Very rustic and primitive indeed, but a nice addition to an antique box collection, this might have originally been a tea caddy, document or pencil box, or perhaps a money box. Great for farmhouse, vintage, cottage chic, shabby chic, or colonial decor. In primitive condition with the expected patina, scratches, bumps/cracks/creaks/crevices & wear and tear from age & use and very primitive construction, as pictured, which add character to this nice old box.
