Hans Wegner Danish Modern - The Chair - stampedKnown simply as "The Chair," this iconic armchair was designed by famed Danish architect and furniture designer Hans Wegner in 1949.This chair has a nice patina. Chair bears cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen's stamp, and is very sturdy with no wobbles or loose joints. Chair was reupholstered at some point with fabric and would need to be re-caned. This is a very nice example of a rare Danish modern chair.Chair is in good condition overall, it has some drip marks on the underside of one arm as seen in the picture but can probably be removed - I leave it to the new owner as I do not know furniture restoration. Please see pictures for condition, it will need to be re-caned and cleaned up a little bit, overall in good vintage used condition.approx. 23" long x 20" deep x 18/30" high.will be carefully wrapped, boxed and shipped via fedex.Shipping is calculated per zip code.
