Horseshoe shaped Swing Table Frame with Cowboy Western Pyrography Motifs, ca. 1940's. This was a really well thought out and designed picture frame made in what I believe the 1940's/1950's time period. It is made of pine and has a swinging horseshoe frame in the center of a table top base. The frame has been Pyrography decorated. Pyrography was made by drawing with a hot soldering iron-like device. T is floral and horseshoe decorations with applied color. The entire piece measures approx. 9.50" x 10.25" with the base being about 5.50". The opening for a picture measures approx. 3.75" x 4.75" and does include glass. This style of frame is often sought out by Folk Art collectors because of their naive craftsmanship. Great for a collector of Vintage Cowboy and Western Items. Please email questions.
