This auction is for an antique pen case made of cast brass consisting of two hinged compartments: one for pens and one for ink. There is ornate patterning over-all with a running animal on one side ( a deer, dog, dragon?). the hinges work perfectly and both lids close evenly. The ink well has words and shapes on the bottom that may be the scribe's personal seal. This item was found in Greece. Size: 8 inches long.
