� � � � � � � � Quality Victorian French Enamelled Opaque Glass Vase c.1880 Offering for sale this super quality late nineteenth century French scarlet red opaque glass pedestal vase with black opaque handles. It is beautifully enamelled in the Aesthetic taste with flowers, foliage and butterflies and has fine white beading around the edges. It stands 12.625 inches high and measures 7.625 inches wide and carries a painted number '2' to the base. Unfortunately there is an old repair to one of the handles together with 3-4 small shallow chips to the bottom of the foot rim although the vase still displays well. There is some wear to the gilding in areas and a few tiny surface scratches on the back of the vase but there are no serious chips and no cracks. A fine piece which is sure to enhance any collection!
