This is a very nice, VERY RADIOACTIVE specimen, a very rare AUTHENTIC HOMER LAUGHLIN FIESTAWARE plate in radioactive red. This plate does not have the "Fiesta" stamp, although it is authentic, determined by the distinctive pattern, not to mention the fact that it was with another of the exact same plate that was stamped. It puts off a whopping 61,000 counts per minute... (Again, calibrated Bicron Surveyor M with 44-9 Pancake Probe, so it's combined alpha/beta/gamma reading.) That's a hot plate. It's beautiful, in good condition, with a few very minor scratches and blemishes, as it was used for several years. T are some minimal marks and imperfections, and small white spots (not chips) on the bottom, like nearly all the plates from this era, if you have purchased these before you know what I'm talking about. Plate up for bid is the actual plate pictured above. It's a great chance to own a piece like this for a price that you can choose! This will make a GREAT geiger counter test source, class/science demonstration, or collectors item, and it is SUPER RADIOACTIVE! You'll love it.
