HASP8 Air Commodore Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith RAF cover signed Southern Cross navigator H A Litchfield HASP cover commemorating Air Commodore Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith.Cover was flown over the route taken by Sir Charles Kingsford Smith during his record breaking flight. Cover is signed by Southern Cross Navigator H.A.Litchfield Last surviving member of the great flight made by the southern Cross was Sir Charles Kingsford Smith's Navigator in Southern Cross for many record flights. At the outbreak of WWII he volunteered for active service and as a member of the Royal Australian reserve he was given command of the Anti-Submarine corvette HMAS Kalgoorlie, followed by his command of HMAS Stuart.
