It is in working order and it is complete without any missing parts. This bell rings very loud when you give a tug on the attached chain. It has mounting holes so that it can easily be mounted to just about any flat surface. It also is engraved Wagner Silver Palace Car Company Trolley Bell. Size is 10-1/4 inches X 4-3/4 inches overall. It looks to me as though this bell is made to be suspended from overhead with the chain hanging down for easy ringing. Trolley conductors tugging on the bell cord still brings fond memories to ones mind. Trolley bells would have to be loud in order to be heard over the clammer of the steel wheels and the buzz of all the people riding the trolley.
