Yizkor book RakishokLithuania This is a scarce Yizkor memorial of RAKISHOK (ROKISKIS) and enviroments. This book was published in 1952 in Johannesburg by Rakisher Landsmanshaft of Johannesburg. Edited by M. Bakalczuk-Felin. The book contains many photos describes the historical development of Rakishok Jewry and enviroments. Rakishok was know as bastion of CHABAD Hassidic in Lithuania. The book includes also the surrounding towns; Utena (Utyan), Kamajai (Kamay), Zarasai (Novo-Alexandrovsk), Panemunis (Ponemunok), Antaliepte (Antalept), Pandėlys (Ponedel), Skapiskis (Skopishok), Bagaslaviskis (Boguslavishok), Juzintai (Yuzint), Svėdasai (Svisdoshk), Subata (Subat), Suvainiskis (Sevenishok), Obeliai (Abel). The book contains 626 pages in Yiddish and 6 pages in English includes two illustrated title page. Hardcover, cloth. The first page is damage, other pages are in good condition. Size:10.5x7.5inch.
