Rare Roseville COSMOS #951- 8" Vase ~~ Circa 1939 ~~ Rare Roseville COSMOS # 951- Vase. Has been in china cabinet -- Never Used -- No chips, no hairlines, no nicks -- Perfect! Roseville's Cosmos was produced in 1939. Done in earth tone brown background, accented with a green band and life like cosmos of orchids with green leaves. Large handles. Matt glaze and marked on bottom with Roseville's impressed style number (951-8). I guarantee my pottery to be authentic Roseville! As with all my auctions, I start the bids off at a very reasonable amount, with NO RESERVE . The opening bid is approximately 1/3rd of this item's LOWEST book value. This particular Roseville piece has a 1998 book value of $225-$300 , and can be seen in Jack and Nancy Bomm's book "Roseville In All Its Splendor" on page 106. I professionally pack and ship all my pottery pieces in bubble wrap and packing peanuts. However, I encourage purchasing insurance. I charge a flat shipping rate of $12.00 and I prefer to ship UPS. UPS automatically insures its packages up to $100. Items valued over $100 can be insured for $1.75 per $100 and it is well worth the small investment!
