Wonderful antique collectible Victorian era Pewter mold ! This double-sided and hinged Hen or rooster ice cream mold is from the late 1800s or early 1900's. It is made by Krauss it is 290 in the catalog. It is listed as a hen but looks more like a rooster- measures 7" wide when open 3 1/2" long. The insides of this antique mold has a greatly detailed fine quality with really nice detailed texture. Nice patina Please see pics. Overall it is in excellent condition, fits perfect & hinge is tight, see pics. . The inside is usable and clean but because of lead content not recommended for food. .
