This is a rare blue milk glass jar with a zinc lid. I don't know what it was used for, because I don't think a fruit jar would have an opening this small. I've never seen another jar like this one. It is a swirled aqua milk glass, but not quite slag. It is 5-1/2" high and the mouth is two inches wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The top edge is just a little rough from use and age. Right now it has some kind of white floral scented powder in it. If anyone knows what this was used for, I would really appreciate knowing. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions. I prefer payment by Paypal and it is due within one week of the close of the auction. Shipping will be $8.00. Thanks for looking at my auction. After looking at the lid closer, I'm not sure if it's zinc or tin. T is no liner, but it does appear to be the original lid from what I can tell. Also, I was told that the jar may not have been for fruit but for scented powder, which is what appears to be in it now.
