RARE-c1900 ANTIQUE 12K ROSE GOLD EXPANSION BANGLE BRACELET- 40GM I am so pleased to offer this fabulous Antique 12k Rose Gold Expansion bracelet that is so RARE and is one of the very early expansion bangles and it is encrusted with four faceted AMETHYSTS ....so UNIQUE ! The stones are bezel set in the front centerpiece, and are square and emerald cut. I have sold one of these last year and very rarely see these anymore. It will fit a multitude of wrists from 6 "-9". Dont miss this one ! HISTORY It is Circa 1900 by design and styling. It is just fabulous and unique . and this is the only the third one of its kind i have sold .. It looks stunning on the wrist, when being worn it looks like a bangle, but is expansion and so comfortable to wear. This is simply one of the BEST expansion bangles i have had the pleasure to sell and would suit the fastidious and serious buyers. It is not stamped for gold content but the outer surface tests positive for 12k gold , and it is a rose gold shell , but it looks and feels like solid karat gold, and from the beautiful patina you would think it is solid gold.. A Very old and beautiful heirloom indeed. DESCRIPTION & SIZING It is a rose gold color or sometimes called RED GOLD and the links all have repousse carvings .....and the patina is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry. . .. .It is not stamped with the makers mark but is of a HIGH quality in craftsmanship and these expansion bracelets are highly collectable. These command extremely high book prices in the mid to upper hundreds. . This one is no exception due to its unique styling with the amethyst centerpiece. The feel of this bangle is fabulous, it has that ultra smooth look and feel when putting it on, that usually is associated with solid karat gold The centerpiece has scrollwork flanking the raised gemstone setting. The amethysts are square and emerald cut , and are approx 2.5 carats each for a total of 10 carats. This bracelet will get noticed ..it is truly DAZZLING ! The repousse links are amazing, and it is strung on very old expansion wire which is double linked for strength... and the amethyst stones are so beautiful and they sparkle with every turn ! The band measures 1/2" in width..and will fit a multitude of wrist sizes ranging from 6 " up to 9" due to its expansion.... unexpanded it measures 6 1/2" and will expand another three inches. T are no dings or dents in this piece due to its solid and quality construction. The only thing I can see is on the inside of the links, t is a little age wear.. but this is not visible when being worn and is only mentioned for accuracy and apart from that it is in FABULOUS antique condition !! The stretch in the band is still just wonderful for its age.. ! This would make a wonderful gift for a loved one ....as antique gifts are becoming so popular these days as they are so unique and have a history, which people find very intriguing. Dont miss this one...its truly one of a kind...and sure to please !... It weighs approx 40 grams which further adds to its appeal! This is a MUST for the discerning collector, or the antique rose gold collector,as these heavy wide bangles are becoming so hard to find these days.
