It is one of the finest examples I've ever discovered, and, although I can't prove it, I believe it is very likely a Paul Dachsel design. I'm sure the "Amphora Pros" out t will know for sure. Regardless, it's a striking example of an extremely rare form. Height = 6" Across the "feet" = 9" - It is a substantial piece. I think I'd call it a jardeniere. One of the most difficult things for me to show accurately is that luscious iridescent glaze that reminds you of fine art glass. You'll have to see it for yourself, and you most definitely won't be disappointed. (If you've not visited with me before at 341, it might be a great time for you to go read a few hundred pages of my feedback.) We're going to look closely at the bottom, but before I forget I should point out that the body decoration, consisting of an intricate pattern of green leaves is all hand painted.
