Rare Northern Dynasties Figure of a Soldier Allen's Antiques Ltd 10 DAY AUCTION DESCRIPTION: A rare Chinese red and white painted pottery figure of a soldier, dating to China's Northern dynasties, circa 1,500 years ago. He is standing with fists clenched, his right arm across his front and his left held up. T are three holes from w he would once have been holding a weapon, shield or pennant, but it has long since rotted away and disappeared. He is also wearing a long cap which extends down to his shoulders. A lot of the original paint remains on this rare artifact. This rare artifact was originally listed on our Allens Antiques website store for $ US175.00 , we are now having a massive clearance sale and offering this pair with NO RESERVE! Check out all of our other no reserve auctions SIZE: 209mm (8.36 inches) high CONDITION: Some expected degradation, losses, abrasions, and probable restoration, as a consequence of extended burial and subsequent cleaning.
