This is a very rare old knife made in Prussia with a very nice etched blade (not inked but etched into the blade) . It also has 3 inlays in the wood handle , two are a man with a shield that are brass and one of a crown that is a silver colored metal . The etching in the blade reads GESETZLICH GESCHUTZT PRUSSIA .The knife is very solid and tight and the blade is very full but does have some wear from use and sharpening .It comes with a newer brown leather sheath in real good shape that the knife fits well in .The knife measures overall 10 ''and the blade is 5 1/2'' .also t is a guard on the handle and two brass pins . When is the last time you saw a knife from Prussia ???? This would be a great Christmas gift to a knife collector . HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!
