Rare R.E.M. Promo Memorabilia - Bag of Peanuts! Promotional Item from 'Automatic for the People' Up for auction is this very rare, promotional item from the Automatic for the People album in excellent condition. This item was never available for sale by the band, but was released to music industry insiders and radio stations for promotional purposes. This promotional bag of peanuts is from Weaver D's restaurant in Athens, Georgia (the slogan for which inspired the album name - Automatic For The People!) is housed in a custom 'mini grocery' style brown paper bag holding approximately 2½ oz net weight. On the front of the bag is printed the text 'R.E.M. Automatic For The People' along with 'Made By Weaver D's Fine Foods, 1016 E. Broad St, Athens, GA 39601' all printed in red. Also includes 'Weaver D's Delicious Roasted Peanuts' & 'Automatic For The People' (also in red text) on the other side. Please Note: These peanuts were released in 1992, and are no longer suitable for consumption. This is purely a piece of promotional memorabilia for the band.
