RARE GUERIN LIMOGES DRESSER JAR/ HAIR RECEIVER That's right this dresser jar has a removable hair receiver insert!! The is original, t is even the ledge for it to sit on in the original mold!!!! STUNNING and GORGEOUS!!!! This is a gorgeous antique W.G. and Co. Limoges gilded handled Dresser Jar with beautiful and colorful BUTTERFLIES. The butterflies are beautifully hand painted by the artist "Renn" as signed on the bottom. Painted with black outlines in light pastels of pink, blue, yellow,purple, and green with gilded accents. It has a beautiful hand painted gilded handle and the edges are gilded as well. The gilding is fully intact! It is marked with the William Guerin Mark 4 which dates it 1891 to 1932. Size: 4 7/8" x 3 7/8" Condition: The jar is EXCELLENT original. No chips or cracks. The insert I will include free as it has a tight crack. Remember this helpful hint~ Limoges is hard paste porcelain. It does not ever craze, that is one of the reasons why it is so valueable. So if you ever see a Limoges piece listed as having crazing, it is either not Limoges or it has a spider crack.
