T are some expe cted corrosions due to age. (Please see photos for more details) Size: Diameter: 1.61 inches (4.1 cm.) Weight: 19 grams Note: This is a very rare, original and authentic and well preserved Dong Son bell with buffalo head bell. It has two loops on either side, apart from the usual one at the top of the bell. It may have been found in Vietnam ( Thanh Hoa province w modern day Hanoi is located) or in Cambodia, because the Dong Son culture spread south - west from the north of Vietnam appears-through a related or in any case a contemporaneous culture as far as the Indonesian peninsula. Archaeological studies have suggested that the Dong Son Culture period began approximately in the 7-6 centuries B.C. and lost its predominance and individuality at about the 3 century A.D. under the pressure of the Chinese Han domination of northern Vietnam .
