You can find these pictured and identified in Kurtizky's "The Encyclopedia of Bookends", page 325, Plate 2311, given the highest rarity rating and dated to 1929. He called them BRONCO RIDER. They are marked on the back A C and a number and have OFW on the front. I think the OFW stands for something O Foundry Works. They are art deco wild west bucking bronco riders. Great design, w the cowboy's stetson hat has already benn lost and hit the rump of the horse. The horse is plunging in a bow, nose to ground, and tail touching the cowboy's outstretched arm. Made of old cast iron and measuring 5 and a half inches high and weighing 4 pounds the pair. Great condition, no damage, intact finish, no rust and even old green felts on base. Great fiery copper bronze finish that has a red gold antique original patina. Please see my other auctions for more antique and vintage cast metal bookends and doorstops that I will combine on shipping whenever possible.
