A rare, hard to find, Yellowware Spice Jar or Canister with it's original lid. This Spice Jar or Canister has three cobalt blue bands and is marked "Spices" on the side. The bottom is marked with an "H" inside a circle and the number 118. It measures approximately 3 5/8" tall with the lid on and 2 5/8" wide. The jar and lid appear to be in fine shape for their age with excellent patina. T are five small indentions on the left side of the ribbed surface area - see picture - but these appear to have been made during the manufacturing process. The bottom of the jar as shown in the picture looks to be warn w it sat on a counter or shelf and the rest of the bottom and the sides of the jar has some crazing typical of a piece of this age. I have tried to describe this piece to the best of my ability but please let me know if you would like addtional pictures.I'm selling this, and other vintage antiques, collectibles and Fiesta ware, for my sister.
