C.1850 VICTORIAN 12K ROLLED ROSE GOLD ETRUSCAN SLIDER BRACELET-25GM From my own private collection, I am so pleased to offer this ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS Antique Victorian 12k Rolled Rose Gold FIVE chain link bracelet , with a HUGE central Etruscan slider. THIS SLIDER BRACELET MEASURES JUST UNDER 3/4' IN WIDTH ! As always , the photos were taken in bright sunlight to give the best indication of the item, but it was overcast conditions hence the photos appear quite drab and brassy. I tried to take the photos on different backgrounds to show the true beauty of this piece. Please take time to view all the photos.
The quintuple curblink style links form a row of FIVE chains that is secured with a Victorian Fob , and highlighted by the HUGE central slider and the gorgeous end caps.. a beautiful piece indeed ..and a VERY RARE find as the multiple chain bracelets are scarce these days ! HISTORY It is Circa 1850 by design and styling...and its links are solid curblinks ..the hand wrought links are so beautiful and they are SOLID NOT HOLLOW..and the slider is an Etruscan design and this is a HIGH VICTORIAN piece. It looks stunning on the wrist, when being worn it is so comfortable to wear, while really making a statement !. This is for an average wrist and measures 7 1/2" in length and would fit from 5 1/2 - 7 3/8" wrist.. It is not stamped for gold content but the outer surface tests positive for 12kt gold , and the findings are rolled gold but I was informed the slider and end caps are solid karat gold or gold shell..,and it certainly looks and feels like solid karat gold, especially with the beautiful patina . A Very old and beautiful heirloom indeed. The fob is stamped RFS & Co DESCRIPTION & SIZING The links are a very soft antique rose gold , that rich buttery hue with a soft rosey glow and would compliment both yellow gold and rose gold colored jewelry .....and the patina is excellent as you would expect with quality antique jewelry.....this is just so SHINY ! The feel of this bangle is fabulous, it has that ultra smooth look and feel when putting it on, that usually is associated with solid karat gold... It measures just under 7 1/2" in length and can be shortened if desired and would fit a multitude of wrist sizes ranging from 5 1/2" up to 7 3/8" depending on how loosely fitted you require it. The HUGE slider measures just under 3/4" in length by 1/2" in width and will not slide on the chains unless you manipulate it...and operates as it should, so will not slide around to the side whilst wearing it as some sliders do .. It has ORNATE CARVINGS on the front and fine carvings on the back and is 1/4" THICK !.. The FIVE chains have an overall width of just under 3/4" but it looks much wider due to its fluid movement. The slider and chains have no dings or dents in this piece due to its solid and quality construction... and the links are Solid not Hollow so will withstand a good deal of punishment.. and can be worn daily ..t is a shallow little depression on one of the end caps but this is not visible when being worn, as it as the back , but this gives it a very nostalgic feel and authenticates the piece... and is mentioned for accuracy. These were usually constructed from Victorian watch chains but this came as a pair, and had been worn as a bracelet . I wear the other one permanently together with my bangles and NEVER take it off .. It has a Victorian FOB closure which has fantastic spring and tension , so this piece is wonderfully secure ! Just a gorgeous old piece.. It weighs approx 25 grams which further adds to its appeal! THis is a MUST for the antique rose gold collector,as these are becoming so hard to find these days. The pictures do not reflect the soft rose color of this bangle, and they appear faded and washed out, but it is just lovely... so very hard to photograph because of the shiny surface. so please check my feedback so you may feel confident bidding with me. Please note that while I do try to describe the items to the very best of my ability, all my items are either antique or ...
