REDDISH LARGE Voluminous Mexican Amber Raw 892g This Quality piece of RAW amber originates from the Simojovel, Chiapas amber mines in Mexico.This LARGE size is not common, & its shape is not flat, but rather thick, with volume! The overall Color is that of a Reddish Cognac, showing GREEN GLOW by reflection. The interior of this piece is overall clear, with some inclusions.The dark areas you see are oxidation stains on the outside of the stone, the inside definitely has more clarity. This piece is for the most part fracture free, and will most certainly carve or polish one solid flawless piece. The weight of this material is 100% amber, with NO dirt or shells, they have all been REMOVED from this piece, & you can be sure that this material is completely CLEAN. This type of amber is certified authentic by well known scientific authorities and recognized to be from the Miocene to Oligocene geological Epochs. It is at least 22 million years old! This is a Great collector’s item & excellent carving material.
