Pearline Vaseline Opalescent ... ** SOMERSET ** TALL FOOTED COMPOTE!!It's Very Hard to Find old English Opalescent Vaseline or Canary colored glass ... especially in this pattern, coloring, and condition!! Manufactured by George Davidson & Co. and Clearly marked as their Rd No. 254027, dating to 1895. This Incredibly Beautiful Compote is 7 1/4" tall with a flared hand-crimped rim diameter of 9 1/2". This piece has SUPERB Clarity of glass, Canary Coloring, Extraordinary pattern definition, and Superb Thick & Creamy Golden Opalescence that Greatly accentuates this Gorgeous Compote!! A similar piece is shown in Dave Peterson's "VASELINE GLASS: Canary to Contemporary", page 92, item #955 and valued at $350 ... IF you can even Find one!! In PERFECT condition, there are no chips, cracks, stains, or repairs. Under a Black Light ... this piece fluoresces Brilliantly!!
