*Last 2 pics are pre-restoration* Restored Boker "Edelweiss" with custom designed scales made out of Jade Ghost G10, green acrylic for the wedge, new brass pins and collars. This poor thing had a rough time before it came to my shop. I cleaned up the blade, removing as much pitting from the tang so the makers mark could stand out better, but left most of the deep pitting near the spine so as not to change the blad geometry. The cutting edge was unaffected by the corrosion so it still makes an exceptional shaver with crazy character. The blade measures 5/8+. I've honed and stropped the razor to shave ready, checking the bevel under magnification to ensure it is free of blemishes that could affect the shave. *Important note for future honing: 1 layer of tape used on spine during honing process.
