Riga is the largest city in the Baltic states . The Historic Centre of Riga has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the city is particularly notable for its extensive Jugendstil (German Art Nouveau) architecture, which UNESCO considers to be unparalleled anyw in the world. Condition: Overall condition is very, very good… near fine…. Binding is tight, secure. Hinges not broken. Corners square with no wear/fraying. Cover fresh. Spine slightly softened at top/bottom, but not frayed. No shelf wear. The book interior is in very good condition, with no tanning. No early owner’s signature. No other marks or writing. Not ex-library. Original DJ is quite fresh and bright, with 1 (1”) tear at top of spine, wear to a couple of corners. Most of these items are used, vintage, so some wear is to be expected. Again, if I can detect any specific damage or repairs I will note them; my tendency is to emphasize negative condition issues.
