Up for auction is a very rare French Red glaze Rookwood vase decorated by artist Sara Sax in 1919. French Red is one of the rarest of the Rookwood glazes and often commands a premium at national auctions. This vase a seconded by the factory as noted by the X on the bottom. It was x'd for some glaze pooling at the bottom and mottling. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites or damage to the vase. Here is an opportunity to purchase a rare glaze for a fraction of the gallery pricing! Vase will be shipped double boxed and fully insured by UPS.I have added more photos and the size of the piece is 5-1/4 inches tall by 6 inches at it widest.
