eBay's largest sellers use AuctionLynxx to increase sales... shouldn't you? ~ ROSE MEDALLION FAMILLE FINE PORCELAIN LIDDED SUGAR BOWL ~ ~ Rare Piece in Perfect Condition w/No Reserve ~ Up for your bidding is this fine piece of antique Chinese Rose Medallion dating to the the arly 19th century. My best guess is this was designed for use as a covered sugar. It has the wonderful early intertwined twisted double handles and the lid has the traditional strawberry finial top/handle. The bowl is set on a pedestal-type base and richly decorated, again in the brightly colored and textured Rose Medallion tradition. The lid features four different scenes of florals and Chinese people amongst rich detailing. The bowl also features four different panel scenes of Chinese people gathering and birds, butterflies & florals. Intricate detailing surrounds the four separate scenes. The artistry is unparalleled and exquisite. A superb example in every detail! Condition: Excellent. No chips, cracks, hairlines or fleabites anyw The lid is perfect as is the base. No evident wear to the abundant Rose Medallion decoration. The only wear is to the gold highlights that were applied to the handles consistent with age. Dimensions: 4 1/4" high to top of lid finial. Concave base diameter 2 1/4". Opening diameter 3 1/4". Lid diameter 3 5/8". This is a spectacular example of antique Chinese Rose Medallion fine porcelain. Completely damage-free and offered with no reserve. Have fun...thanks for looking!
