"ROSE POINT" Sterling CHEESE GRATER by WALLACE * The founder of Wallace Silversmiths, Robert Wallace, began making German silver spoons in a Connecticut flour mill at the age of 18. Eventually, Wallace expanded his practice and began making German silver forks and similar articles . His attention to detail and eye for quality quickly assisted him in creating a silversmithing firm that would last for over 100 years under the name Wallace & Co and later Wallace Silvermsiths. Wallace introduced the classic and elegant "Rose Point" pattern in 1936. It has remained a favorite to this day and it is currently in production. I am offering in this auction a sterling handled Cheese Grater, an elegant essential for the Italian Table! The length is 9 1/2" and the stainless grater measures 4 1/2" tall by 2 1/4" wide. This unusual piece is perfect for anyone that thinks they have all the Rose Point serving pieces. The condition is pristine - like new! No monograms or removals. I purchased this piece in a HUGE set of Rose Point at an Estate Sale. It is all in excellent condition. I decided to offer the more unusual pieces in separate auctions so please look at my other listings if you are interested. Best of Luck! Payment Credit Card Personal or company checks are accepted, but must clear the bank prior to shipment. All Payments are to be received
