The "Aladin" collectors plates tell the story of one of the bestknown figures in "The Thousand and One Nights". This 6 1/3" diameter plate, Motif # 1 "Aladin and the Magic Lamp" is the title motif of the Aladin series and depicts Aladin talking to the Spirit of the Lamp, who fulfills all of Aladin´s wishes. Bjorn Wiinblad plate is paintstakingly decorated in brilliant colours on intense cobald blue. The valuable gold ornamentation enchances the effect of the illustrated scene. Wiinblad´s colours and draughmanship do full justice to the splendour of the Oriental tales. This fantastic plate is in an excellent condition. On the backside written in gold in German "Aladin and the wonder lamp # 1" Rosenthal Studio Line Germany and the signature of Bjorn Wiinblad. The pictures that shows the 12 plates are only to give an overview of the comlete Aladin series. In this auctions is only one plate for sale. International high bidder adds $ 15.00 for S+I regular shipment. Multiple bidding saves shipping costs, only one charge per shipment (max. 2 lb.).
