THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL GERMAN PORCELAIN AND STERLING SILVER OPEN SALT CELLAR DISH. THIS PIECE IS MARKED FOR THE PHILIP ROSENTHAL COMPANY OF SELB, BAVARIA, GERMANY CIRCA 1900-1930. THIS ROUND PORCELAIN SALT IS DECORATED WITH BEAUTIFUL RED ROSES AND GREEN LEAVES ON THE SIDES AND INSIDE THE BOWL. IT SITS ON A ROUND BEADED STERLING SILVER PEDESTAL BASE. IT IS ABOUT 2" TALL AND 2 3/8" IN DIAMETER. CONDITION IS VERY GOOD WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS TO THE PORCELAIN AND NO DINGS OR DENTS AND EXCELLENT SILVER QUALITY TO THE PEDESTAL BASE. THIS IS MY SECOND OF TWO.
