Tonight I'm happy to offer, from a recently purchased estate, Royal Albert , 1970's - Provincial Flowers Series "Lady's Slipper" Pattern - Floral Chintz Tea Cup and Saucer. MINT CONDITION! - NO RESERVE! This handsome and graceful tea cup is in excellent if not MINT condition and I suspect has rarely if ever been used, on inspection I could not find a mark on either the cup or saucer. The cup is a tall round shape with a slightly scalloped gold rim, gold detailed handle and gold pedestal base. The main color of the cup is a daring black featuring a surrounding design of shaded fuchsia and white lady's slippers and green leaf detail for an enchanting chintz like effect. The saucer mirrors the outside of the cup and both pieces are in excellent if not MINT condition with no cracks, chips, crazing or loss to the color or design. I would safely guess that the tea cup dates from the early late 1960's to early 1970's. The cup is marked on the bottom with the familiar Royal Albert floral mark, Bone China, England the name of the series "Provincial Flowers" and pattern "Lady's Slipper". I'm not that familiar with English porcelains, the marks are shown and I'm sure the Royal Albert collectors will be able to put an exact date on the cup, if you have any information about the marks please feel free to e-mail.
