St Marys Catholic Church in St Clair Michigan had a white elephant sale as part of their yearly festival. This year, we are listing some of the donated items on ebay as an added fund raiser. This is one of those items. Bid now, bid high! This is a sterling service set for 8. It comes in a dark wood chest with the silver protecting fabric inside. The pattern is called Castle Rose. The design was patented in 1942 and manufactured by Oneida for Empire Corporation of Newark New Jersey. It has the backstamp of Royal Crest Sterling. The knives have a modern style stainless steel blade. They have a squared shape to the handle. Included in the set: 8 grille knives, 8 grille forks, 8 dessert forks, 16 tea spoons, 8 soup spoons1 butter knive, 1 sugar spoon, 1 gravy ladle, 1 large serving spoon PLEASE NOTE Change in description ! It has come to our attention that the knives and forks that are in this set are described by Royal Crest as grille knives and forks. The difference is in the length of the handle. The regular knife is 9 1/8", the grille is 8 3/8". The grille fork is 7 5/8", the regular fork is 7 1/4". We also checked the back side of the individual pieces.
