On auction, we have a vintage American Cardinal by Royal Crown Derby. This has Chinese red imari feathers highlighted in 22 karat gold. The bottom has a gold stopper stamped "Royal Crown Derby English Bone China" . This has "Copyright 2004 Royal Crown Derby Made In England, "MMIV" (2004), "American Cardinal", "No. 690", "R" in a circle, "EL" and "S". The purpose of the stopper is to fill this with sand and make your figurine into a paperweight. Our elegant cardinal measures approximately 2 1/2" tall, 2" wide, 4 1/8" long and weighs 4.2 ounces. This American Cardinal is in excellent condition. I can find no flaws. Please view my photographs for more description. Hopefully, you will forgive the glare from the shiny glaze. Sorry, we have no box. My friend's Mom is moving into a much smaller home and parting with some of her collections.
