Offered for Auction is this wonderful Royal Doulton Old Moreton 1589 Seriesware Plate... The colorful plate depicts Queen Elizabeth I as she enters Moreton Hall, escorted by Sir Francis Drake, and members of her court (see photos)... The Plate displays the inscription "Queen Elizabeth at Old Moreton 1589" near the top, and is accented with an ornate Border design... The Plate measures 10-1/4" wide and has the Royal Doulton mark on the back (see photo)... It is in very good condition, having no chips, cracks, or crazing... The colors are crisp, and vivid... There are some faint utensil marks present.. This is only mentioned for accuracy, and is not detrimental to the item, at all...
