Great way to get into Kiteboarding with a great kite with Bar/lines and bag!!! RRD Type Wave 2 “The best of both worlds ?? The RRD Type Wave 2 is a C-Style kite but with full depower and safety equivalent to bow kites thanks to the new RRD Type Wave Control Bar. This bar uses a 5th line system that sheets out the kite on the center lines and 5th line at the same time. The end result is a kite that performs to or above par with the best of the 2006 C-Style kites, but also depowers and offers the safety of a bow style kite. This combination should be very appealing to those riders who have time and riding styles built around their c-style quivers and don't want to give up a year to re-adjusting everything to adapt to the bow style kites. We have been riding the Type Wave 10m all Fall and this kite absolutely rips for waveriding and windrange thanks to the depower of the Type Wave Bar. The kite has a very solid build which has been holding up perfectly in the destructive Cape Hatteras surf. Re-launch is also quick and dependable thanks to the 5th line system. A span line across the kites, prevents the roll over that normally tears kites in half in the surf.
